Intuition

What is Intuition?

Have you ever had a gut feeling that turned out to be right? Or heard a small voice in your head that led you in the right direction? Congrats, you’ve tapped into the magick of intuition!

Intuition is a type of non-verbal knowledge that comes to us from our subconscious mind. It is the superpower we all possess, though some of us are more ‘in tune’ with it than others.

It is the voice of our inner wisdom, the part of us that always knows what is right for us. It is not based on logic or reason, but rather on a deep inner knowing. It’s the little voice in our heads that tells us to avoid that sketchy alley, or the feeling in our stomachs that warns us about a bad decision. Intuition can guide us through life and help us make the right choices, and the best part? It’s completely free and available to everyone.
Recognising Intuition

Intuition can take many forms, including gut feelings, physical sensations, dreams, and flashes of insight. So how can we tap into this magickal force? One of the keys to accessing the power of intuition is recognising it when it arises:
  • A strong gut feeling: When you have a gut feeling about something, it is often your intuition speaking to you. This can be a physical sensation in your stomach, or a deep sense of knowing.
  • A flash of insight: Intuition often comes in the form of a sudden, unexpected insight or idea. These flashes can be powerful, and often provide us with the answers we need.
  • Dreams: Dreams can be a powerful source of intuition, as our subconscious mind is able to communicate with us in ways that our conscious mind cannot.
  • Physical sensations: Some people experience intuition as physical sensations, such as chills, tingles, or a feeling of heat.

Cultivating Intuition

Once you recognise your intuition, it is important to cultivate it in your life. Here are some ways to do that:

  • Grounding: Before you can begin, you need to ground and centre yourself. This means connecting with the earth and your inner self to create a sense of stability and balance. To do this, find a quiet place to sit or lie down and close your eyes. Take several deep breaths and visualise roots growing down from the soles of your feet and anchoring you to the earth. Imagine yourself being filled with energy and light, and feel yourself becoming more grounded and centered with each breath.
  • Quiet your mind: this can be done through meditation, mindfulness, or simply taking a moment to be still.
  • Pay attention to your body: Your body is a powerful tool for receiving intuitive messages. Pay attention to physical sensations and emotions, as these can often indicate when your intuition is speaking to you.
  • Trust yourself: The most important thing you can do to cultivate your intuition is to trust yourself. Trust your gut feelings, your flashes of insight, and your dreams. When you trust your intuition, you are more likely to act on it and allow it to guide you.
  • Practice: Intuition is like a muscle, and it needs to be exercised in order to grow stronger. Practice paying attention to your intuition, and make a habit of acting on it.

If you’re feeling stuck, try asking your intuition for guidance. You can do this by simply asking a question and listening for an answer. It may not come immediately, but be patient and trust that the answer will come when the time is right. Like any magickal power, intuition can be strengthened through practice. Don’t be afraid to make decisions based on your gut feeling, even if it doesn’t make logical sense! Sometimes the best choices are the ones that come from the heart. So go ahead, embrace your intuition and let it guide you to the path of your dreams.
